This morning, SkiCo called 17 inches in the last 24 hours in the Northwoods and while some of that may have fallen on Christmas Day, it was not skied hard. Surfaces were well-covered with scant bumps and only an occasional firm surface. Great snowboarding conditions across the entire lower right-hand side of the mountain. Please avoid the area ....

Full maze at 9 a.m. for sure, plus a good ski school line, but the hill ... wow. Everything was good. And it kept snowing all morning. As of 12:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Snowmass was reporting 16 inches, Aspen Mountain 15 inches, Highlands 13 inches and Buttermilk 15 inches. The snow was light, too.
