Aspen/Snowmass Ski & Snowboard Open presented by Audi. Up-and-coming skiers and snowboarders compete at the same venue as top athletes during the famous Winter X Games. In its fifth year, the Open is expected to draw 350 men and women skiers and snowboarders to compete in two disciplines — slopestyle and Superpipe — at Buttermilk. AVSC Sprints presented by Aspen Parks and Recreation Department. 6 p.m. at Wagner Park in Aspen. Cross-country skiers compete head-to-head in downtown Aspen to see who can cover 100 yards the fastest for a combined purse of $1,500. Event includes a bonfire and a DJ for the spectators.
