"Bottle Shock" presented by the Wheeler Opera House. Director Randall Miller uncorks this true story of the Napa Valley wine industry in the mid `70s when words “American wine” and “Gallo” were considered synonymous and every wine snob knew that French winemakers were the only ones capable of making fine wines. Looking for a way to boost his failing Parisian wine shop a snobbish Brit (Alan Rickman) heads to California’s Napa Valley, preparing for a tasting contest he has set up, pitting his favorite French wines against up-and-coming vintages from California. 7:30 p.m. at the Wheeler in Aspen. Cost: $9. 920-5770.

Open Mic night hosted by Trenton Allen at the Crystal Palace Grille, 10 p.m. 925-4900.

The Itals; Jus Goodie. Reggae at Belly Up in Aspen, 10 p.m. Cost: $10/advance, $12/day of show. 544-9800.
