2nd annual Tri It Camp for Women hosted by Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge
& Pool. Three-day triathlon instructional camp for visually
impaired women and sighted guides. Volunteers needed for marshalling
the course for the culminating mini-triathlon on Sunday, April 20, and
transporting three tandem bikes from an organization in Denver. To

Birding the Roaring Fork Valley Field Trip hosted by Roaring Fork
Audubon. Spring migrants on the move and warmer weather bring out the

Saturday run group hosted by Independence Run and Hike. Run every
Saturday at 8:30 a.m. starting from Independence Run and Hike and one
other location in Carbondale. Run goes on in rain, snow, cold or

Supernatural Liftoff Bike Party presented by Gear Exchange. Event
features live music, art bike building, bike rides andmore. Event takes

2nd annual Earth Day Expo presented by New Castle Environmental
Advisory Committee. Expo features environmental and hands-on displays,
mini lectures, expanded children’s activities, refreshments and prizes.

The Big Read theatrical adaptation bilingual workshop and performance
presented by Aspen Writers’ Foundation and Aspen Community Theatre.
Workshop involves scene study adapted from Rudolfo Anaya’s "Bless Me,
Ultima," the featured book of The Big Read. Saturday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.,
Sunday: 1-7 p.m. with the presentation taking place at 7 p.m. at the

Big Read Book Discussion and Lunch hosted by Explore Booksellers.
Discussion of "Bless Me, Ultima" in recognition of the valley’s Big
Read initiative. Participants are welcome to join the discussion

"The Counterfeiters" presented by Wheeler Film Society. True story of
master counterfeiter Salomon "Sally" Sorowitch (Karl Markovics) and a
group of concentration camp prisoners who have been recruited to make
replicas of foreign bank notes. As the Nazi plan to sink the U.S. and
British economies goes forward, some prisoners find a way to stall the
operation. 7:30 p.m., with an additional 4:30 p.m. Saturday
