St. Andrew’s Day hosted by Aspen Golf Club. Activities include the opportunity to roam over 150 acres of open space, enjoy the native areas and water features, go fishing in the pond on hole No. 15, play Frisbee or soccer, visit Red Mountain Grill for food and fun, and picnicking. Bank of Colorado Sport Swap benefitting AVSC. Buy and sell alpine, snowboard, telemark and nordic equipment, clothing, bikes, camping gear and much more. Space fees are as follows: 0-15 items – $25/advance ($40 at the door), 15-75 items - $50/advance ($100 at the door), over 75 items - $100/advance ($125 at the door). The cost for commercial vendors is $150 plus 10 percent of sales. All proceeds benefit the Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. “Barack the Vote” Democratic Election Rally and Picnic. Event includes meet and greet with Western Slope candidates, music by Jimmy Ibbotson, Bobby Mason, and Last Minute String Band and surprise guests; hot-dog picnic lunch available — $15/ adults, $5/children. North Indian Kathak Dance master class presented by Aspen Dance Connection. Students of all levels will learn intricate rhythmic systems and dance composition techniques, as well as being introduced to the basic movements and mythology of classical North Indian Kathak Dance combinations. 1-4 p.m. at A Spiritual Center in Carbondale.
