Fall Used Book Sale presented by Friends of the Glenwood Springs Library. Library is located at 413 Ninth St. and the sale is held in the basement. For hours and more information, call 945-5958.

“The Language of Light” presented by Aspen Stage. Program includes music, multimedia effects and an original inspired story by a valleywide cast of dancers and musicians. 2 p.m. at Aspen District Theatre. Cost: $25. 920-5770.

New Belgium Hockey Mountain High presented by Aspen Recreation Department. Adult ice hockey tournament includes men’s, women’s, open, recreational, and novice divisions. Play takes place at Aspen Ice Garden and Lewis Ice Arena. Admission to watch the games is free and anyone 21 or over can purchase a wristband to enjoy beverages from our New Belgium Brewing Co. "Transsiberian" presented by the Wheeler Opera House. Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer play an American couple returning from a charity mission in China who are later joined in their cramped train compartment by a seductive Spanish traveler and his owl-eyed girlfriend. One look at this creepy Eurotrash duo and there’s no question that trouble lies around the next snowy bend in the tracks, and the plot thickens with the arrival of Russian inspector (Ben Kingsley), the films chief resident nogoodnik. 4:30  and 7:30 at the Wheeler in Aspen. Fall Scene Study Classes presented by The Hudson Reed Ensemble. Classes consist of six two-hour sessions held at 6:30 p.m. in the Old Youth Center building next to the Pitkin County Jail. Cost: $160. To enroll, call 300-4788.
