"soy mi madre," by Phil Collins, film debut hosted by Aspen Art Museum.
"soy mi madre" takes as its references the world of the Latin American
telenovela, as well as plot elements of Jean Genet’s controversial 1949
play The Maids, in which the servants of a well-to-do mistress take
turns enacting a fantasy drama in which each alternately play the role
of their employer. Shot with a Mexican cast and crew entirely on a set

Author talk and presentation with Bruce Ducker presented by Town Center
Booksellers. Ducker is the author of "Dizzying Heights: The Aspen
Novel" and he will introduce Reach Out and Read Colorado, a
not-for-profit organization that makes books and reading a standard
part of well-child pediatric care, especially for low-income families.
