Jazz Aspen Snowmass June Festival presented by Calamos
Investments. Four-day music festival  with acts performing on the
free stage on the Cooper Avenue Mall and at the JAS Music Tent at Rio
Grande Park. Performers include: Dianne Reeves, Bebel Gilberto, Anita
Baker, The Manhattan Transfer, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Sharon Jones,
the Dap-Kings, Los Lonely Boys, and The Christian McBride Situation.

Kid's drawing and painting classes. 10 a.m. to noon on
Wednesdays and Thursdays at Ross Montessori School in Carbondale. Cost:

Guided Nature Walks and Hikes offered by Aspen Center for
Environmental Studies. A naturalist from the Aspen Center for
Environmental Studies guides hikes with views of Snowmass Village and
surrounding areas. Offered daily at 10 a.m. (nature walk) and 1 p.m.
(nature hike or walk, depending on group interest). Meet at the
Information Desk in the Snowmass Ticket Pavilion. Free. 925-1220.

Guided Nature Walks offered by Aspen Center for Environmental
Studies. Free 45-minute walk with a naturalist from the ACES. Offered
daily on the hour, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 14-Sept. 1 Meet at the top

The Glenwood Springs Writers Workshop offers encouragement and
advice for area writers, from beginners to published authors. Meetings
are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, from 7-10
