Snowmass developer Related WestPac has added a property management firm to its growing list of local holdings, the company announced yesterday.
Related WestPac, which is developing Base Village and owns most of the Snowmass Mall and the Snowmass Center, said that it has acquired Village Property Management.
VPM is an over 30-year-old property management firm that was part of the Burwell family holdings, along with the Silvertree Hotel and Wildwood Lodge. Related WestPac has been under contract to buy the Burwell properties for a couple years now; that sale is expected to be finalized sometime next year.
Village Property Management currently manages more than 350 condominiums and villas, with 220 in the vacation rental program, according to a press release from Related WestPac. It has more than 80 employees, whom Related WestPac says it will retain.
“The Related WestPac purchase of VPM will provide owners with the continuity of local talent in managing select Snowmass Village properties, while ensuring the long-term stability of the business,” said the press release. “VPM will play a vital role as the future operational plan of the new Base Village development continues to be realized.”
Neither Related WestPac nor Village Property Management officials returned calls for additional information.
In other Related WestPac news, former Snowmass Sun reporter and associate editor Steve Alldredge has been named the new director of community relations for the company.
In this position, according to a Related WestPac press release, “Alldredge will work closely with the development team, help further develop and implement a community communication program including the Rumors newsletter, serve as a liaison to community boards and organizations as well as community leaders and local elected officials, conduct community forums and manage local press relations in collaboration with Related WestPac communications and marketing teams.”
