James Ludwig Misunas, 64, passed away June 28, 2008, at the V.A. Medical Center in Grand Junction.
Jim was born May 24, 1944, to George Misunas and Josephine Riegler in Hawthorne, Calif. He was raised in Chicago, Ill.
Following high school, he served two years in the United States Army. He married Beverly Lueth on Aug. 14, 1971, and moved to Carbondale with his family in 1977. He worked as an electrician by trade and was employed by the St. Regis Hotel in Aspen for the last 15 years. He could be seen riding his motorcycle to work as early as March and as late as November.
Jim is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bev; two daughters, Megan (John) McNerney and Jodi (Greg) Boyd; three grandchildren, Kyla and Camden Boyd and Wyatt McNerney; mother, Josephine; brother, David Misunas; sister, Melinda Lefferts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 6, at 4 p.m. at the Glenwood Church of Christ, 206 Soccer Field Road, Glenwood Springs. Pastor Lem Harr, of Trinity Baptist Church, will officiate.
