Best prom ever

Editor:

This year, Aspen High School’s prom, “Night of Lights,” was hosted at the Aspen Meadows Resort. Aside from the rainy weather, everything was perfect. The spacious room with the ideal view provided a flawless setting for what turned out to be one of the best proms ever. However, this could not have happened without the help of Shawna Salwinski from Aspen Meadows. Not only is she one of the best party planners, but she helped the committee organize and set up the room with the romantic feel we could not find at any other venue. We would also like to thank Eileen at Harrington Smith Flowers for putting together the most creative and classy flower arrangements.

Further decorations were not needed because these extravagant arrangements became the focus of the room. Our class advisors, Marybeth Thompson and Sarah Strassburger, headed the prom committee with excitement and humor, which made the entire experience more enjoyable. We loved working with them. Last but not least, we want to thank the local businesses for donating all the presents that were used in the small gift bags given to the teachers who volunteered at prom. These include Amen Wardy, Cos Bar Cosmetics, Belle Richardson at Lush, Jill Murphy at Misstyx, Adriana at Aspen Sports, Boogie’s Diner, Jill at Paradise Bakery, Karlee at Ink! Coffee, Gil and Emily at Bruno’s Pizza, Cantina, New York Pizza, J. Crew, and The Chocolate Factory. We couldn’t have done it without you!
