A water line broke in Snowmass Village, causing homes along lower Meadow Drive to lose water service for about two hours Sunday morning.
Snowmass police officer Dave Heivly said the town became aware of the problem around 8 a.m. when water was seen running across Brush Creek Road.
Snowmass Water and Sanitation District personnel shut off the water temporarily to address the immediate problem.
Water service was restored to most of the impacted properties within two hours, but there were still two homes along Brush Creek Road that did not have water service Sunday evening, Heivly said.
The water line will be excavated and repaired Monday, which will affect traffic on Brush Creek Road.
No one called Snowmass police to complain about the interruption in water service, Heivly said.
