Disorderly off-season keeps local cops busy

The following is activity logged with the Aspen Police Department from May 3-10. All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty.

• May 2 — At 10 a.m., Aspen police officers arrested Rani Grewal, 49, of the Aspen area, on two outstanding failure to appear warrants from Pitkin County. Grewal was transported to Pitkin County Jail.

• May 5 — At 10:28 p.m., Aspen police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Cantina. Kevin Gibson, 43, was arrested and transported to Pitkin County Jail where he was issued a municipal court summons for disorderly conduct.

• May 5 — At 11:38 p.m., Aspen police officers stopped Todd Potvin, 35, of Aspen, for a traffic violation. Potvin was placed under arrest and transported to Pitkin County Jail where he was charged with DUI, speeding, and no proof of insurance.

• May 9 — At 11:50 a.m., Aspen police officers responded to a report of a protection order violation. Jaysen Elrod, 42, of Aspen, was arrested and transported to Pitkin County Jail. He was charged with harassment, violation of a protection order and domestic violence.

• May 10 — At 1:15 a.m., Aspen police officers responded to a disturbance in front of The Regal. Adam Metivier, 26, of the Aspen area, was arrested and transported to Pitkin County Jail where he was issued a municipal court summons for disorderly conduct.
