Weeding out Old Snowmass

Editor:

The Snowmass Capitol Creek Caucus would like to thank all of the folks who turned out for this year’s annual spring road clean-up in Old Snowmass.

Special thanks go to Kathy DeWolfe for organizing, Lesa Thomas for supplying the food and refreshments, and Seth Sachson (and donors) for the practical prizes for “best of trash.” Our roads look great.

Another important community event is on the calendar for Saturday, June 2, 9 a.m. to noon. Snowmass Capitol Creek Caucus and the Pitkin County Weed Advisory Board are sponsoring a weed walk and pull at the Aspen Deaf Camp, 4862 Snowmass Creek Rd. in Old Snowmass.

Complimentary lunch will follow. Learn how to identify and control the noxious weeds growing in our area without herbicides. Please bring gloves, a shovel, sunscreen and water. This will be fun and educational.

Any questions, please call 927-2401. Hope to see you there.
