Daring, dreaming and doing

Editor:

On June 1 I hosted an event at the Wheeler Opera House, Daring to Dream, which was a dual celebration of the arts in Aspen and fundraiser for my film, “Under Her Skin.” I just wanted to extend a deep and heartfelt thank you to this incredible community for the astounding support that I received. To Gram Slaton and the entire Wheeler Opera House staff for allowing me to have the event there. To the Aspen Daily News, Aspen Times, Aspen Public Radio, and Grassroots TV for helping me to get the word out. To the restaurants who donated food for the event (Bangkok Bowl, Clark’s Market, Johnny McGuire’s and Paradise Bakery). To the Dare to Dream Award winners, Adele Craft and Jaclyn Harris, for starting their own creative work. To the 10-plus Aspen arts organizations who either participated directly in the event or donated to the silent auction. And to the multitudes of people who helped make the event happen and to all of you who came to the event or made contributions to the film: I truly cannot thank you enough.

The Roaring Fork Valley is a truly unique and special place. I am so thankful and honored to have grown up here and to continue to be able to remain part of the community. I can’t wait to come back and have a screening of, “Under Her Skin,” once it is complete.

For those who were not able to attend the event, the “Under Her Skin” trailer is also available on our website, www.UnderHerSkin.com [1]. I hope you will have a look and consider making a contribution towards the making of the film.

Thank you again. I am overwhelmed and so, so grateful.
