Bergers improving quality of life for local cancer patients

Editor:

I am writing to share with our community the amazing generosity of Barbara and Bruce Berger, who hosted a delightful evening of opera at their home last week to support the Quality of Life Cancer Fund. The highlight of the evening was certainly Bruce’s amazing culinary creations for all the guests.

A cancer diagnosis can place tremendous financial stress on a patient and their family. The Bergers’ Quality of Life (QOL) Fund provides temporary financial relief for a multitude of needs, so the patient can concentrate on getting well without the fear of losing their home or their medical insurance.

The QOL Fund is unique to our area and offers financial support in many areas, including medical insurance payments, rent subsidies, transportation to Denver for chemotherapy, housekeeping and meal support for single parents, etc.

Our local Pathfinders organization has been trusted as the administrator of this extremely important fund, which supports patients and their caregivers from Aspen to Rifle. If you know of anyone who could benefit from these services, please contact us at 925-1226, or info@pathfindersforcancer.org [1].

Thank you, again, to Bruce and Barbara Berger, Elaine Grossman, Linda Gutterman and all of their friends for making this fund a reality for those in our community who need it the most.
