The other morning while putting $2 into a machine, to get a slip of paper that would allow me to park for one hour on the street in Aspen, I thought back of when I first skied Aspen in 1959. I stayed at Ed’s Bed’s and paid $2 a night. Now I pay the same to park for one hour as I did to sleep for a night. That is change.

Then, I looked up at Aspen Mountain, in it’s full autumn beauty, that has not changed. What a special place.
