The Aspen Democracy Initiative (ADI) and the Aspen Young Professionals’ Association (AYPA) together invite our community members to an election forum on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The forum will be at the St. Regis Resort, Aspen beginning at 5:30 p.m. Candidates and/or their representatives will speak to attendees for five minutes each. Additionally, representatives of the presidential candidates will engage in a 30 minute moderated debate with Carolyne Heldman of Aspen Public Radio. Races which will be represented include Pitkin County Commissioner, CU Regent-3rd District, District Attorney-9th District, U.S. House-3rd District, and U.S. President.

The event is free. Cash bar and “meet and greet” the candidates will follow the forum, which will end by 7:30 p.m. All are welcome, and younger residents are especially encouraged to attend. Please encourage your readers to come out and learn about the candidates and the issues!
