In response to Drita Rosin’s letter (“Sickened by ADN photo,” Aspen Daily News, Oct. 9) regarding the bear photo, that image was no more sickening than fish and beef sliced open and displayed in our grocery stores’ cases. The latter just happen to have had their recognizable parts removed. But if we were still directly connected with our food sources, we would witness such sites in person every day. To me, such images provide important, if graphic, reminders of where our food comes from.
