Apologies to all concerned

Editor:

I am the person who asked Camilla Auger whether it was OK to use her name in an ad opposing the hydro project. I came away believing that she agreed to that, but I was wrong. It happened at an event we both attended that had a lot of background noise, so it’s now clear to me that the noise was so great my request wasn’t clearly understood. I am wholly to blame for that, and nobody else is, and I want to apologize to Camilla, who is a friend and whom I certainly didn’t intend to upset.

The group I was soliciting for is called “Citizens for Responsible Projects”, and they are completely blameless. Their funding is transparent, they are local people who care about our streams, and they certainly don’t want to offend anyone. This was entirely my own mistake. I apologize to anyone concerned, especially to Camilla and to the group I was trying to help.
