Vectra Bank Colorado will celebrate a 20-year milestone on Jan. 30 as it hosts its 20th Economic Forecast Breakfast — an annual event to study the current economic issues facing business, the state and the country.
Local businesses and consumers are invited to attend the event streamed live to the public from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The event will address issues that impact on the impending economic recovery of 2013 from a local, national and global perspective. Participants will hear from keynote speakers: Founder and president of RegionTrack, Mark Snead; president of Development Research Partners, Patricia Silverstein; and Contango Capital Advisors CEO and investment expert George Feiger, who will walk guests through a review of the upcoming year’s expected challenges, bright spots and unknowns. Online participants will have the opportunity to ask questions via the webcast.

The White River National Forest (WRNF) is hosting a free workshop for small businesses interested in contracting with the Forest Service to provide equipment, supplies and food support to wildland firefighting efforts.
Small businesses currently doing business or hoping to do business with the Forest Service are invited to attend. Topics covered will include updates on regulations, contracts, the ordering and payment process, and types of services needed to support crews. Services and equipment needed to support firefighting include meals, copiers, heavy equipment, refrigerated trailers, ice, hardware, showers, toilets, hand-washing stations and lodging.
The event will be held on Feb. 7 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Business Incubator Center — Colorado PTAC’s Western Slope Office, located at 2591 Legacy Way in Grand Junction.
