Aspen-to-Parachute youth initiative draws national figures to symposium
 
U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education Brenda Dann-Messier will deliver the keynote address at this Friday’s symposium titled “Cradle to Career — Building Youth Success from Aspen to Parachute.”
 
The event is open to the public, and includes a host of nationally renowned speakers who will address the challenges and issues associated with successfully supporting the education and success of this region’s youth. It is the latest step in the months-long collaboration of educational and community leaders to identify ways to better support children and teens living between Aspen to Parachute.

The symposium will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at the Doerr-Hosier Center at Aspen Meadows. Tickets are $25 and include both breakfast and lunch. For more information, log on to aspencommunityfoundation.org or call 970-925-9300.
