On most mornings after a full moon, we are left with the time consuming and irritating task of cleaning up after hikers. We have had to pick up multiple garbage bags worth of beer cans that were scattered through the woods, we have had to put out bonfires that were left burning through the night, and we have had to clean up partially consumed wine bottles and partly eaten food from the west warming hut.
We have no problem with people getting excited about a full moon and gathering in its honor; however, we ask that those who come out to Buttermilk — and really anywhere for that matter — please clean up after themselves.
We appreciate your help and understanding and hope you have fun and safe lunar cycle.
