Working in a tourist town can be demanding and when a local takes time to assist a visitor it often goes unnoticed. So, I want to take a moment to give my kudos and thanks to Keith in Snowmass.
On Sunday, March 24, when departing parking lot number five, my car battery was totally dead and the nearby gas station was closed. Keith (from Aspen Sports, I believe) was walking through the lot doing his work and noticed us struggling. About 10 minutes later he returned in a vehicle with jumper cables in hand.
I am so grateful he helped get us on the road. It would have been a long time for aid to come from the valley, and ski traffic to Denver on Sunday just gets worse as the day gets late. My splinted and fractured thumb had already challenged my trip to Snowmass and prevented me from skiing in the Saturday NASTAR finals. Keith’s assistance lessened the sting and renewed my faith in human willingness to help. Thank you.
