City Market is supporting LiftUp of Garfield County, plus 22 other local agencies with money collected through contributions made by customers and associates through its yearlong Hunger Relief canister campaign.
The canister campaign raised more than $8,400 to support the availability of emergency food resources at a local level.
The Westin Snowmass and Wildwood Snowmass were selected for “Most Impactful Renovation” for Colorado Meetings + Events magazine’s 2013 Best of Colorado. The resort was one of five editor’s picks mentioned during the Best of Awards celebration on March 25 at the Denver Art Museum. Local real estate company Stirling Peak Properties was featured on an episode of “Your Business” on MSNBC. The company’s four principals, Bill Stirling, Dale Potvin, Dawnette Smith and Layne Shea were interviewed on camera by host JJ Ramberg in late February, at a slopeside Aspen home that is part of their property management portfolio. The story focuses on their success as an independent real estate company in a market that has an ever-increasing presence of large real estate corporations. BJ Adams also was interviewed.
Stirling Peak Properties was formed in 2012 from two of Aspen’s longest-standing real estate firms — Stirling Homes and Peak Properties of Aspen. Stirling Peak Properties handles real estate sales, vacation rentals and property management of homes from Aspen to Carbondale.

Chefs Club USA has announced that the company has assumed management of Chefs Club by Food & Wine restaurant in the St. Regis hotel from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
Pioneered by OptAsia Capital, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Food & Wine, Chefs Club opened in June 2012.
Integral to the growth of the brand is the appointment of Didier Elena to executive chef of Chefs Club. Prior to joining Chefs Club USA, Elena, a native of Monaco, spent 20 years working alongside famed chef Alain Ducasse in a number of venerated roles, including executive chef of Restaurant Alain Ducasse at The Essex House, New York and culinary consultant for the Alain Ducasse Restaurant Group.
In his new role, Elena will oversee the Food & Wine Best New Chefs selected to curate the seasonally-driven menus at the Chefs Club, day-to-day culinary operations, and assist in the overall growth of the brand.

The Sky Hotel has hired Leah Stroup as catering sales manager. As the winner of GQ magazine’s “Most Imaginative Bartender,” Stroup is excited join the team at the retro-style hotel.
BJ Adams and Company was recently honored with “Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Marketing Awards” at its annual conference in February at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. The company was given a first place award for “Company Brand and Property Advertising,” based on creativity, quality and overall presentation and effectiveness. This is the second time BJ Adams and Company has been honored with the first place prize in this category.
In addition, the opening session of the conference highlighted two nominees from the global network for the customer experience: Transaction of the Year Award, one of whom was Leah Moriarty, a BJ Adams and Company broker.
