What a snow job. Mick “retires” from local politics by not running for council, but then endorses councilman Steve Skadron for mayor, Art Daily and Ann Mullins for council. He holds a press conference and explains his reasons and hands out brownies. Yup, brownies. It was magical.
The “brownies” is what I love about Mick. With rapturous ears and mouth, a small group of journalists sat in Mick’s humble home and pounded brownies, as Mick cast his spell. If Steve Skadron is elected and offers the council appointment, he has another box of brownies on the shelf. At this point, I couldn’t stop laughing! He’s gonna feed us the second box of brownies on that shelf, with a grin on his face and accept that seat. That’s classic. A vote for Steve gets us Mick and that second box of brownies.
I’m voting for Torre. He has shown leadership in being pro business, a leader in affordable housing and represents the middle ground on development. He represents all Aspenites.
