On behalf of WindWalkers, Margaret “Gary” Bender (executive director) and myself, we’d like to express our gratitude to the members of 100+ Women Who Care.
Over 65 unique women came together this past spring to ensure that WindWalkers — a local equine assisted-learning and therapy center — met a $10,000 challenge/match issued by the KNU Foundations to help support our programs. Please check out our website www.windwalkerstrc.org to see some of the many ways these funds are being used to help our community.
We were so inspired — I joined their membership and would encourage others to do the same. We firmly believe that these unique women will make a significant difference in the long-term sustainability of our local nonprofit community.
A special thanks to Mandy Welgos, Emily Weingart and Robin Van Domelen for founding the Roaring Fork Valley chapter.
