The Westin Snowmass is offering Roaring Fork Valley residents a rate of $79 a night through Dec. 18, in celebration of its one-year anniversary.
The special rate is intended to let locals experience the remodeled hotel offering ski-in-ski-out access to Snowmass Ski Area and a plethora of entertainment and dining options.
After a day of turns on the mountain, local guests can après at Vue Lobby Lounge with shareable appetizers and handcrafted cocktails. Or, soak in the hot tubs and heated pool overlooking the slopes. For dinner, they can indulge at Snowmass Kitchen, a Northern Italian chophouse with an eclectic libations menu.
The Westin, in the building formerly known as the Silvertree Hotel, is located on the Snowmass Village Mall. It reopened as a Westin at the beginning of the 2012-2013 ski season. For more information please visit www.westinsnowmass.com or www.wildwoodsnowmass.com .
Aspen Sports has chosen the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies as the beneficiary of its “Adopt-A-Cause” campaign, meaning the apparel store will match 50 cents for every dollar donated at the register to the environmental nonprofit.
The fundraising opportunity lasts through the holiday shopping season, ending on Jan. 5, and is valid at all Aspen Sports stores in Aspen and Snowmass.
Anyone who would like to make a donation to ACES can stop by any of the stores and Aspen Sports will match 50 percent of the donation, up to $100.
The funds will support ACES’ environmental science education programs for 5,000 kids throughout the valley and help ACES connect 67,000 youth and adults annually to the natural world.
Aspen Sports picks a charitable cause to receive the matching dollars each holiday season.
