The Pitkin County ballot for this fall’s election is nearly complete and local voters will be asked to decide three candidate’s races and either 10 or 11 ballot questions across various jurisdictions, according to Dwight K. Shellman III, the county’s election manager.

Mordkin said it’s now ‘very clear’ he can’t run

Snowmass Village Councilman Arnie Mordkin is not contesting a ruling that he can’t run for re-election this fall because of term limits.

“I have reviewed the [Colorado] constitutional amendment and I agree that I am not allowed to run,” Mordkin said Wednesday.

Alpine Bank sues Mordkin for unpaid loan

Alpine Bank filed a claim in district court this week against Snowmass Village councilman and chief deputy district attorney Arnold Mordkin, alleging he has failed to pay back a loan to the Glenwood Springs-based company.

Dalessandri selects undersheriff running mate

Tom Dalessandri announced Wednesday the selection of his undersheriff and running mate for the Garfield County Sheriff race in the upcoming November election.

After a long conversation of sharing beliefs, philosophies and management styles, Dalessandri has selected Doug Winters to serve with him, if elected.
