DE L’ARBRE PROMOTED AT PROMO

Alexandra De L’Arbre has returned to Aspen-based public relations firm Promo Communications as an account manager. She formerly worked at Promo from 2005 to 2007 as a public relations coordinator. In between, she returned to her hometown of Santa Barbara, Calif., to work as a marketing associate for The Walking Company.

De L’Arbre is a University of Colorado at Boulder graduate, with a degree in journalism.

Aspen-based Promo Communications specializes in marketing for the ski, hospitality and real estate industry.

CALHOUN NAMED ADAPTIVE ATHLETE OF YEAR

Colorado Ski Country USA named Heath Calhoun, of Challenge Aspen, its adaptive athlete of the year during a recent convention highlighting industry professionals. Calhoun is a mono-skier with a year-round commitment to training to race for the United States paralympics team.

This year, he took first place in the slalom competition at the eastern NorAm. He was recognized for his professionalism and dedication to the sport.

BAYLESS PROMOTED TO WORLWIDE SALES

Aspen Skiing Co. employee Bob Bayless has been promoted to the director of worldwide sales from his position as senior international sales and marketing manager.

Bayless has been with SkiCo for six years, selling in the United Kingdom, Germany and European markets. He moved to Aspen in 1989, and worked as a national sales manager for Aspen Meadows, as well as the director of sales for the Hotel Lenado/Sardy House. He holds a history degree fom Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.
