This is not addressed to any particular newspaper either in the state or the country. It is directed toward the media as a whole, who have apparently failed to report another of many worthwhile stories that follow a certain movement, a movement of true patriotism and anti-Bush campaigns aimed at restoring decency to our government.
Thousands of people attended a peaceful rally in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, July 12, listening to a speech by Texas Congressman Ron Paul and marching in support of his campaign for liberty. However, the coverage of the event was not so much as a whisper, in the form of a short CNN report that stated that only 500-800 were present, and a lone blog entry by the Chicago Tribune (as cited by Alex Jones’ www.prisonplanet.com).
The aftermath of this important and successful rally, which raised thousands of dollars for Paul’s campaign, poses question as to why the media world continues to ignore this and similar happenings that coincidentally tend to put pressure on the incumbents in office and shed light on a government that has broken the law, lied to its people, and maintained a foreign policy that is sinister, imperial, and utterly shameful. If the media ignores stories for the sake of protecting a tyrannical group of leaders, then mainstream news is no longer a reflection of the whole story.
