Udall should think twice

Union officials have made ending secret ballots for workers deciding whether to join a union their highest legislative priority this year. Instead of elections, they want a “card check” process that is set up for fraud and is unfair to working Americans. And do you know who supports this deceptive method for unionization? Colorado’s own senatorial candidate, Mark Udall.

Udall should join the 94 percent of Coloradans who believe in workers’ rights to a private ballot in unionization votes. Udall co-sponsored and voted for the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) in the House in 2007, and would be a swing vote if elected to the Senate in current Republican Sen. Wayne Allard’s stead. It’s about time for Udall to put Colorado workers ahead of Washington special interests.
