Editor’s Pick: Dog-Gone It

Aspen Daily News Staff Report
After being cancelled last year when a doggie illness swept the valley, this year Boneday in Dogdale is on and ready for action this Sunday, May 18. Any dog — ugly, cute, cuddly, mangy or shy — is welcome to attend (and their owners too), as long as they’re not aggressive. As a fundraiser for KDNK and ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation), the fun starts at 10 a.m. with a canine parade down Carbondale’s Main Street. The rest of the day is filled with events such as the “Worstminster Dog Show,” an event where not only the “Best in Show” is crowned, but — you guessed it — the worst too. Check out other dog-friendly actitivities like animal massage, veterinarian advice and a show by the Roaring Fork’s own Kennel Club. For more information, call 963-0139 or visit kdnk.org.
