— Three area juveniles allegedly pummeled a 23-year-old man in front of his disabled mother outside Movieland in El Jebel early last Friday morning. Police say the alleged victim had asked the boys to be quiet during a midnight premiere of “The Dark Knight” at the theater. They were allegedly drunk and disruptive throughout the movie. Police say that after the film, the boys waited for the shushing audience member outside and jumped him. Surveillance video footage allegedly shows one of the teenagers drinking from a bottle of Hennessy before striking the man in the face with it.

The victim’s mother, who is disabled along her entire left side as a result of a car accident, stood nearby.

Police found the man with a broken nose and a shoe imprint in his back. His alleged assailants have not yet been formally charged, but are likely to face disorderly conduct and felony assault counts due to the severity of the alleged victim’s injuries.
