Ethel Lossing benefit is Sunday

Aspen Daily News Staff Report
A benefit for longtime local musician Ethel Lossing will take place this Sunday at El Jebowl in El Jebel.

The June 22 event, dubbed “Ethel Up: A Celebration of Friends and Life” will run from 3-9 p.m. and will feature a pig roast, live music and a live auction.

Lossing, who also works at the Rocky Mountain Institute, has been battling cancer for several years and her expenses are starting to mount. A group of friends decided to put something together to help raise some money to help her out.

Confirmed acts include Heart of the Rockies with John Sommers and Twirp Anderson, Rodeo Cool and Swizzle It featuring Ethel, the Double Diamond Band, and Haden Gregg and Kelly Michel. Additional talent is welcome.

All donations are appreciated and will be accepted at the door or at any Alpine Bank, under the Benefit Fund for Ethel Lossing.
