Concerning the mayor’s lost bike, it’s too bad that your city’s so-called mayor’s bike wasn’t permanently lost so that Ireland could drive a real car and experience the real world of making a living in the Aspen valley.
Just think, the mayor would have to pay for gas, drive into town through the stupid, inefficient S-curves, and, yes, find a place to park for more than two hours.
I am totally amazed that the voters of Aspen still haven’t recalled this socialist, who thinks the world revolves around him and his silly ideas for the city of Aspen. Aspen should develop the straightest, fastest way to get in and out of town, thereby reducing emissions.
The voters need to get out and vote Ireland and cohorts out of office and return Aspen to a friendly city that welcomes workers and tourists. If Aspen continues on its present course, people will stop coming and spending their dollars for tourism. They will go somewhere else.
