Age: 18

Sports: Alpine ski racing.

Day job/profession: Pro ski racer: summer train, winter ski.

Athletic achievements: Making the U.S. Ski Team, winning J2 Nationals. 

Athletic aspirations? Be the best skier in the world, and in skiing history.

Favorite pre-game/pre-competition meal? AudioSlave, Cream, Rage Against the
Machine.

If you could go to dinner with one athlete — living or dead — who would it
be and why?
Muhammad Ali or Lance Armstrong. They both wrecked house in
their sports and had the courage to stand up for what they believed.

Favorite workout music?
Whatever’s on the radio.

Ankle or tube socks?
Tube, most definitely.

Who or what inspires you? Greatness inspires me. When an athlete does something super insane it makes me want to try harder.

Superstitions? Good karma can never hurt.

Vegetarian or carnivore?
Carnivore.

Favorite destination: Aspen, Colo.

Favorite book:
“Banner in the Skye” and “The Race of My Life.” I can’t think of any
more, though I’m sure there’s more.
