Current residence (town): Park City, UT. But most of my winter is spent training in Aspen.
Age: 21
Sports: Halfpipe and slopestyle
Day job/profession: I'm in school right now studying architecture, but my current day job is skiing.
Athletic achievements: U.S. National Champion for the past three years; 1st Place World Cup Finals 2008; two bronze medals in the Winter X Games; 1st place Nippon Freeskiing Open; 2nd place 48 Straight, in Squaw Valley, Calif.
Athletic aspirations? My long term goals for the sport in general would be to get the U.S. Ski Team to create a national team for halfpipe and get halfpipe in the Olympics. I would like to see this happen even if it happens after I am done competing. Personally, I would like to win a medal better than bronze in X Games and I would like to win a medal in the Olympics.
Favorite pre-game/pre-competition meal? Eggs, toast and coffee. And lots of water!
If you could go to dinner with one athlete - living or dead - who would it be and why? I would probably want to talk to Danika Patrick. I would be interested to see how it is being a strong female athlete in a male-dominated sport. There are probably more similarities in our two different situations than we'd realize.
Favorite workout music? Ooh, I actually just bought this 60-minute power music workout mix on iTunes. It helps me blast through a spin session like nothing I've ever experienced.
Ankle or tube socks? Ankle; the lower the better!
Who or what inspires you? People with passion inspire me. It doesn't matter what it is that that person is passionate about, but it always makes me smile to see people doing what they really love.
Superstitions? Well, if I happen to do well wearing a certain pair of socks or bandana or shirt, then I might attribute that thing to be "good luck," but I don't really have anything that I'm extremely superstitious about.
Vegetarian or carnivore? Pescetarian. I eat fish, but no meat.
Favorite destination: I love, love, love Japan, and would really enjoy seeing more of it. As for places that I've never been, Thailand and Africa are on the top of that list.
Favorite book: Well, I've been trying to be more financially responsible in my 21 years of age, and my mom suggested getting a book by Suze Orman. I just finished reading her book called "The Courage to be Rich," and I already want to start reading her "9 Steps to Financial Freedom."
