Glenwood’s Grandest Test of Endurance
I don’t know about you, but we’ve had enough of the
silly little uphill races going on at Aspen Mountain and Aspen
Highlands. Right? I mean, what is so tough about running up a mountain
and then skiing down? Is there anything out there that can actually
pose a challenge to all of the stellar athletes in the Roaring Fork
Valley?
Well, some say there is, but it isn’t happening in
Aspen or Snowmass. No way. The big race is going down in Glenwood, on a
mountain they call Sunlight.
That’s right, it’s time for the real deal — The 24
Hours of Sunlight. What does that mean? It means 24 hours of straight
hiking, skiing/riding, and maybe even a little vomiting along the way.
So get your team together — or, rather, get yourself
together. Because if you think you’re tough, we’ll find out on
Feb.23-24.
