Housing board sues owner for renting

The Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority (APCHA) filed a lawsuit this week against the owner of a deed-restricted affordable housing condominium on Park Circle. They are asking for a judge to force the owner, William T. Cookman, to sell his unit in the Smuggler’s Cove Condominiums. The suit, filed Tuesday and made public Friday, claims Cookman has been renting out his condo, which violates the terms of his deed restriction.

APCHA’s legal complaint states that they sent Cookman a letter on Aug. 15 explaining that he was not allowed to rent the place and demanding he stop doing so by Sept. 2.

Remigio was born on March 23, 1923, to Secundino Vera Velez and Librada Gomez  Hernandez in San Fernando Tamaulipas en la Colonia Paso Real, Mexico.

Airport adds new search tool

The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport has recently added a new flight information tool for passengers utilizing the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport Web site. It’s www.aspenairport.com. The new flight search tool allows passengers to view flight schedules into and out of the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport up to one year in advance of the search date.

“This is a great step forward in our ability to provide travelers with a user-friendly tool to help them make travel arrangements to our community well in advance of their trips,” said airport director, Jim Elwood. “As flight schedules have gotten more and more complicated, we hope this will make searching for flights a little easier,” Elwood said in a press release.
