real estate this year, a new report shows, bolstered in part by
billionaire Roman Abramovich’s $36.375 million home purchase in
Snowmass.
The number of transactions last month, 88, also picked up in April when
compared to March, which saw a relatively anemic 48 transactions,
according to a report Land Title Guarantee Company issued this week. Full Story »
Aspen Daily News Staff Report Wednesday, May 7, 2008 JACKSON HOLE: FEWER SALES, HIGHER PRICES
While the median sale price for homes in the Jackson Hole area rose 86
percent in the first quarter compared to the year before, the number of
those real estate sales dropped 25 percent, the Jackson Hole News &
Guide reported. The Jackson Hole area now has 805 real estate agents,
nearly double the number of properties for sale. A local broker
estimates that 30 to 40 percent of the agents are “hobbyists,”
(divorcees, retirees) rather than fully committed Realtors. Full Story »
