Rooftop333 at Mountain Chalet Aspen is pleased to present live music during Summer 2020! While almost all of Aspen’s live performing arts offerings have been cancelled this summer, this unique venue allows for open air to circulate on all four sides. Enjoy listening to first-class musicians while watching the sunset from the rooftop deck! A carefully curated lineup of internationally acclaimed guest artists will be available to an intimate audience – a very limited number of seats. The extraordinary entertainer, “Broadway Bruce” Barnes will share favorite musical hits from Broadway to jazz on keyboard on Friday and Saturday eves at 7 PM

BRUCE BARNES, Musical Director, Conductor, Arranger and Pianist, will be playing favorite Broadway songs and jazz standards at the keyboard during these exclusive Aspen appearances. Enjoy a drink from the full cash bar, and take in the best rooftop view in town!
Bruce Barnes, Musical Director, Conductor, Arranger and Pianist makes his home in Manhattan in New York City, where he made his Broadway debut conducting "Peter Pan," and regularly served as Associate Conductor of the Broadway production of "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
Off-Broadway, Bruce served as Musical Director for the Off-Broadway hit tribute to Ethel Merman, "Everything the Traffic Will Allow," starring Klea Blackhurst. Other Off-Broadway experience includes the critically acclaimed European production of "Peter and the Wolf" at the venerable New Victory Theater, "Class Mothers '68," starring Priscilla Lopez and unsense”. Bruce also arranged and musically directed "Stormy Weather," starring Leslie Uggams at the Prince Theater in Philadelphia.
National Tours include “Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella”, "Happy Days," "Kiss Me, Kate," "Cats," "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Cabaret," and "Camelot." He can be seen on television on HBO's "Cathouse, The Musical", as The Vocal Coach, trying to teach prostitutes how to sing. They never did learn.
Internationally, he has toured with La Scala's production of "West Side Story" and as a Musical Ambassador for Lincoln Center's "Meet the Artist" program. Bruce’s solo piano work has taken him from as nearby as the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver to the Plaza Hotel in New York City to the Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh, Scotland. When ships are sailing, Bruce serves as a Music Supervisor for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. As an accompanist, Mr. Barnes has collaborated with a range of artists including Patti LuPone, Penny Fuller, Dee Hoty, Ruthie Henshall, Beverly Sills, Billy Porter and Eartha Kitt.
