A California man with millions of internet followers was arrested early Saturday at an Aspen hotel and charged with felony assault.
Cameron Dallas, 24, of Whittier, Calif., was free after posting a $5,000 bond.
Police responded around 5 a.m. to the Hyatt Residences Grand Aspen and found the victim bleeding from injuries to his face, says a press release from the Aspen Police Department.
The person, who was not identified, “made allegations that he had been assaulted,” and Dallas was then arrested, says the release. “Due to the felony charge in this case, we will not comment further on the case status.”
Dallas has over 21 million followers on Instagram, 16 million on Twitter and 5.7 million people subscribe to his YouTube channel. He has also appeared in two films and stars in a Netflix reality show called “Chasing Cameron.”
Messages left with his publicists were not immediately returned Monday.
The charge is a fourth-degree felony involving intent to cause bodily injury, court records show. Dallas is due in court Jan. 22.
