The 113 Fire in West Glenwood was expected to be 100 percent contained by Thursday night, officials said.

The fire, which started late Wednesday afternoon near mile marker 113 of Interstate 70 and closed both directions of the highway for a period of time, was 95 percent contained by 1 p.m. Thursday, according to a post on the Garfield County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

According to the post, crews are continuing operations and expect to have full containment by the end of the day. The fire was 4.5 acres as of Thursday morning.

Both lanes of westbound I-70 were expected to be open by 4 p.m. Thursday and Garfield County Sheriff's Office is asking people to drive slowly through the area. According to the post, fire operations will be continuing on the shoulder of the interstate even after the lanes re-open.
