Today through July 20, the eastbound on-ramp and off-ramp of exit 116 on Interstate 70 will be closed from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Exit 116 is the main highway exit in Glenwood Springs.

During this time period, motorists should use exit 114 as alternate access in and out of Glenwood Springs, according to a Colorado Department of Transportation press release.

“For I-70 eastbound access, motorists are advised to use westbound I-70 to exit 114 and turn around at the interchange. For east Glenwood Springs access, eastbound motorists should use exit 114 and continue to destination via U.S. 6 or Midland Avenue,” it notes.

The closures will allow for construction access for grading and paving activities. The work is weather-dependent.
